Howdy Friends! Saturday Learns the Ten Commandments-Sneak Peek 7. In this scene beautifully illustrated by TROY Locker Palmer, Saturday, Kessy, Danielle and Fluffernutter follow Butterfly who leads them to Moses.

ENJOY THIS EXCERPT:

It seemed to Saturday, as they traveled on, and on, the forest began to change. The trees seemed bigger, the light seemed brighter. The songs birds sang seemed chirpier. The wildflowers had the brightest colors he had ever seen. He could not be sure, but Saturday did not believe they had ever been this far into the forest before. Or to this place.

Saturday just had to stop to admire all the sparkling beauty. So he said, “We should stop and enjoy this very pretty place we have never been to before.” So they did.

It was at that time Kessy noticed a man, dressed in a way she’d never seen before, sitting on a rock ahead of them. “There’s a man up ahead,” she told the others.

“I’ve been leading you to him,” Butterfly said. “His name is Moses.”

Butterfly flew right up to the man whose name was Moses, and she sat on his shoulder. In her high voice they heard her say, “These new friends of mine have questions.”

“Some questions of great importance.” Saturday said, and he walked to where Moses sat.

“Yes, we have some questions we have been thinking about since this morning.” Fluffernutter said.

“Maybe even for a time longer than that,” Danielle said.

Kessy walked near to Moses. Fluffernutter and Danielle hopped down and sat very close to Moses on the big round rock. Saturday sat at his feet. He looked up at his face, wondering, as one might expect, if this was the right time to ask a question, or two.

“Go ahead,” Butterfly encouraged, “Ask away.”
