PRECIOUS THINGS
Howdy Friends! The air cloaked us in its quiet, this second day of the new year. Even the roosters seemed reluctant to lift their voices.
No train in the distance, no bird song from high tree branches.
In the stillness Lizzy’s munching seemed as a concert band. Content she was, tugging at her hay.
I thought of time, how it marches through our lives. The changes it brings. The wounds it heals. The joy it ushers in.
Watching Lizzy enjoy her morning with Bambi, me, and her hay, I pictured her as she was the day we met. She was a different horse now. Confident, settled and strong in her marvelous gaits.
She stood there loving our Coffee Clutch time, reminding me it’s up to us to choose how we use our time. Telling me it’s important to nurture things precious to us so they can grow, flourish. Warning me if we don’t nurture them, they will wither. May God Bless this year, for each of you. Gitty Up ~ Dutch.
