Howdy Friends! The old man sat watching the trees sway in high wind. To and fro they went, just blowing with the wind. He thought about young ones growing up today. It’s easy to get caught up, led astray in our youth. He took a battered tablet from his shirt pocket, and a nub of a pencil, and wrote:“Advice for young people:
1. Skip college.
2. Learn a trade.
3. Get married young.
4. Join a small biblical church.
5. Have babies as soon as you can.
6. Homeschool your children.
7. Catechize your children.
8. Date your spouse.
9. Don’t own a TV.
10. Walk with God.
“And that’ll keep ya,” ~ Gitty Up, Dutch.
Simple and straightforward, positive advice! I did choose to go to college to improve a skillset I enjoyed. BUT paid 100% of it myself.
Had 2 years expenses saved up when I graduated High School.
Worked two jobs during the 4 years of college to pay the rest
Thanks for the comment Chuck! You done good!
