Howdy Friends! Saturday Learns the Ten Commandments – Sneak Peek 13. In this scene, Moses begins to explain the differences between the first 4 Commandments and the last 6 Commandments.
ENJOY THIS EXCERPT:
Moses began. “Yes, the first four Commandants are about our duty to love God. First: “Have no other gods before me. That means God comes first. Second: Do not make Idols. We must worship God only. Third: Do not take the name of the LORD your God in vain. Only use God’s name in good holy ways. Forth: Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Keep the Lord’s day for worship.”
Saturday understood how each of these were about God, even if he didn’t understand everything about them. He was happy Moses was going to explain more later. And now he wanted to hear the other six Commandments. So he said so, “What are the other six Commandments about?”
“The rest of the Commandments tell us how we are to behave, or act toward other people. They tell us things not to do so we don’t hurt others, and also what to do so we love others.” Moses explained.
“They sound important too,” Danielle said and climbed up on Kessy’s back, then curled up. “Okay, I’m ready now.”
Moses took a little time to pet Danielle. Saturday wondered if he was thinking about the next Commandant.

“The last six Commandments are about not doing wrong or bad things to others. And they are also about loving others. Think about The Fifth Commandant, Honor your father and Mother. Doesn’t that sound like loving them, and not doing wrong things to them?” Moses began.
Now Saturday was not at all sure he could remember his mother, or father too. But he did know Dutch and Miss Robbie, and they were like a mother and father to him. Just like Kessy, Danielle and Fluffernutter were like sisters to him, and to do anything but love them would not be a good thing. He knew that! “Yes it does!” He said right out loud wagging his tail in fast circles.
