CHRISTMAS IS FAST APPROACHING
Howdy Friends! Christmas is fast approaching and folks are scurrying about to finish decorating and shopping with excitement and love in their hearts.
For some it will be the first Christmas with a new baby or spouse. For others it will the first Christmas with a new horse. Some folks enter this Christmas season without a special friend or loved one for the first time.
Yesterday I took a short walk in the woods behind the barn and, in a tiny sheltered hollow stood a lone white daisy, happily soaking up the morning sunbeam.
Why, it looked as if it were smiling right at me!
How that single flower managed to survive the dozen or so heavy frosts we’ve already had, I’ll never know … But I do know it made me smile.
And think of Jane, the Ravishin’ Robbie’s mother who was called home to God a few years back … She was really the only mother I’ve ever known. I miss her. She loved flowers so and always kept her gardens lovely. She passed that love on to Robbie.
As we get lost in the spectacular fun and wonderful excitement that is Christmas, let’s take a second to look around for the tiny gifts from God that just might be a very special Christmas card from a loved one. ~ Gitty up, Dutch.
