AS THE CHURCH GOES SO GOES SOCIETY
Howdy Friends! A friend declared, “God help us!” I replied “Why should He?” To which my friend was shocked and said “Really
Where are we?
So I explained, “We are an unrepentant nation with churches filled with traitors and whores. Traitors who slander God’s words for personal gain, or defend ideas contrary to the word of God – and whores who do it from the pulpit for the money.” I like to call them coin operated pastors. Jesus called them hirelings.
You see we are quick to cry for God’s help – But slow to honor Him. Slow to live by His commands. We face the debt today of decades of pastors failing to teach the true word of God. Gotta keep the money flowing. Gotta keep the pews full
Too many Hirelings
Too many pastors today are hirelings, not true teachers. They worry about their salaries, their parsonage. They worry about building the new gym, or fellowship hall. Can’t offend anyone by teaching the Full Doctrine of God’s word
The easy route
Every time in our modern history when given the chance to push back on ungodly laws and practices, pastors chose to take the easy route. The worldly path. Now we cry, “God help us?” Did you know God does not hear the prayers of sinners? (John 9:31). Does he hear the words of traitors and whores? You tell m
For as the church goes, so goes society.
Let’s consider more, and how traitors and whores in the pulpit treat “doctrine.”
The word “doctrine,” is not popular in many pulpits today. It is more often than not used in a negative way.
“Doctrine divides and service unites,” was adopted as the motto of the ecumenical movement in Stockholm, Sweden, as long ago as 1925.
This then motivated the modernist churches retreat from orthodox biblical faith into liberal social and political activism that continues today – And gave birth to today’s traitors and whores.
Today the fruit of these movements (the thought that feelings and practicality were being stifled by doctrine’s deadly embrace), is painfully obvious:
The anti-biblical, politically correct message of the declining mainline churches. The drift to entertainment-as-worship. And the increasing biblical illiteracy among the evangelicals.
And yet Jesus prays “doctrine,” all the time. You can look that u
So where does this leave us? It leaves us where we are.
As long as we have pastors who use the pulpit for gain of status, imagery, and political correctness, we will have a crumbling society. A loss of souls. And a loss of opportunity to work for the Kingdom of God. ~ Gitty Up, Dutch.
